Energy Fuels Seeks Special Use Permit for its Piñon Ridge Uranium / Vanadium Mill Facility from Montrose County, Colorado

July 30, 2008

As a first step toward permitting and licensing the Piñon Ridge Mill facility, located about 12 miles west of Naturita, Colorado, Energy Fuels (TSX: EFR) submitted an application for a Special Use Permit to the Montrose County (Colorado) Land Use Department on July 24, 2008.  In the application, Energy Fuels requested that the land use designation for the 880 acre mill site be changed from “General Agricultural” to “Mineral Resource Operation Facility”.  Approval of this special use permit is anticipated before the end of 2008.

Energy Fuels plans to construct and operate the Piñon Ridge Mill Facility on the subject site.  The facility will process mine production from Energy Fuels’ nearby mines, as well as mines owned and operated by others, for uranium and vanadium.  The facility will employ up to 95 full-time people and is planned to operate continuously for up to 30 years after commissioning.

The permit application document has been posted on Energy Fuels’ dedicated Piñon Ridge Mill website and interested parties can access it for review at the following link:
