The transaction paves the way for Energy Fuels to become the first western company with geographically diversified commercial capabilities across every critical step of the rare earth value chain. It strengthens Energy Fuels relationship across multiple governments, including U.S and Australia.
VAC is the dominant manufacturer of rare earth magnets in the western world with over 100 years of production expertise, more than 400 patents and over 1,000 customers. They operate magnet production facilities in North America, Europe and Asia, including a state-of-the-art facility in Sumter, South Carolina.
The combined company will deliver capabilities across the entire rare earth value chain including mining separation metallization and magnet manufacturing and aims to serve customers across North America, Europe and Asia in high-growth sectors, including automotive, aerospace and defense, robotics, data centers, electronics and industrial automation.
Together, VAC and Energy Fuels will strengthen the global rare earth and magnet supply chains, providing a reliable, secure and diversified source of critical materials from mines to highly valued permanent magnets.
