Investing in the Future of San Juan County, Utah
San Juan County, Utah, is one of the most economically challenged regions in the United States. As home to Energy Fuels’ White Mesa Mill—one of the largest private employers in the county—the region benefits significantly from Energy Fuels’ commitment to economic growth and community well-being.
A Commitment to Community
In 2021, Energy Fuels launched the San Juan County Clean Energy Foundation to further invest in the local community. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting sustainable economic and community development, ensuring that residents share in the benefits of San Juan County’s emerging role as a critical minerals hub.
Our Impact
- The Foundation actively supports education, environmental initiatives, health and wellness programs, economic advancement efforts and Indigenous initiatives.
- A community-based Advisory Board ensures that funds are allocated strategically, aligning with local needs and area aspirations.
- Seeded with a $1 million investment from Energy Fuels, the Foundation continues to grow with an annual commitment of 1% of White Mesa Mill’s revenues.
